As of 2024, dogs aren't allowed at restaurants or breweries in Marquette County, including most patios. We know this can be a bummer for dog lovers, but we recommend taking advantage of the many outdoor spaces where your pup is welcome instead!

Can I bring my dog to Presque Isle Park?
Dogs aren’t permitted at Presque Isle Park unless they’re inside an enclosed vehicle. This rule helps protect the natural environment and local wildlife of the island.

Best dog-friendly beaches?
While city beaches in Marquette aren’t dog-friendly, you can enjoy some great spots along County Road 550, where dogs are welcome on a leash. These quieter beaches are perfect for you and your furry friend to explore!

Can I bring my pup to the UP200?
Dogs aren’t allowed at the UP200 events. With all the excitement and sled dog teams, it’s best to leave your pup at home for this one.

Is there a dog park in Marquette?
While Marquette doesn’t have a year-round dog park, Tourist Park offers a designated area for dogs during the winter months. To access the dog park, your dog must be licensed through Marquette County, with a registration fee of $15 for residents or $20 for non-residents.
